SUBSTANTIATION OF THE CONCEPT OF HEALTH AND PSYCHOPROPHYLACTIC INFLUENCE OF ANIMALS IN THE ZOO

Abstract

Formulation of the problem. Zootherapy up to this date has not been sufficiently scientifically substantiated, especially as regards the definition of mechanisms of animal influence on the psycho-emotional sphere of a person. Analysis of recent research and publications. The scientific literature describes cases of interaction with animals on the normalization of blood pressure of patients, the emergence of depressive states, improved coordination of movements and even timely diagnosis of severe diseases. Wording of purpose. The purpose of the study - the justification of health and psychoprophylaxis of animals in the conditions of the city zoo. Presenting main material. For the rapid diagnosis of mental conditions of children with physical and mental developmental defects before and after active communication with animals in the zoo, we used the Kunin physiognomic test and the Luscher color test. Significant psycho-correction influence of communication with animals in the conditions of the zoo on the mood of children with disabling psychoneurological diseases. Conclusions and perspectives of further research. In recent years, increasingly popular methods of psychological correction, based on various forms of interaction between people and animals. In a modern urban environment, the focus of such a positive interaction are zoos. We have developed a fundamentally new concept of psychological assistance in a city zoo, which is based on the provision of psychoprophylaxis due to the harmonization of human interaction with the animal world. The results of previous studies allowed to establish a reliable positive effect of psychological help in the conditions of the zoo, which was manifested in a significant improvement in mood, reducing anxiety and feeling of dependence, greater openness to the real world and a future orientation.
