REGIONAL FACTOR IN DIAGNOSING THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT

The article examines the main aspects of diagnosing the effectiveness of the economic environment of regions, which is an important stage in ensuring sustainable development of territories in the context of globalization and a rapidly changing economic environment. The purpose of the study is to develop theoretical and methodological principles for diagnosing the economic environment in a regional context, as well as to determine approaches to assessing its effectiveness. The study is aimed at substantiating methods for analyzing socio-economic processes in regions, identifying the main factors of influence and forming practical recommendations for increasing the sustainability and competitiveness of regional economies. The author emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach to assessment, which includes the analysis of not only traditional economic indicators, such as gross domestic product (GDP), investments and the unemployment rate, but also social, environmental and innovation factors. Important aspects are also an assessment of the level of digitalization, the use of natural resources and the level of environmental sustainability, which directly affect the competitiveness of regions. Particular attention is paid to the application of the principles of the circular economy, which allow reducing raw material costs and improving the environmental situation, as well as the development of innovative infrastructure as one of the key factors for increasing the competitiveness of regions. Practical recommendations for strengthening the economic sustainability of regions are considered, including: the development of innovative infrastructure, optimizing the use of resources, modernization of infrastructure and transport links, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, creating clusters and attracting foreign investment. The authors emphasize that taking into account the specifics of each region and using modern diagnostic tools will allow developing effective development strategies that will contribute to economic growth and increasing the sustainability of regional economies in the long term.
