ADAPTATION OF FINANCIAL STRATEGIES OF SMALL ENTERPRISES TO THE CONDITIONS OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION: ANALYSIS OF PRACTICAL CASES

Abstract

The adaptation of financial strategies for small businesses to the conditions of European integration is an important direction for business development in Ukraine. With Ukraine’s integration into the European economic space, small businesses need to consider new conditions for doing business, changes in financial and tax systems, as well as adapt their strategies to European standards. Due to globalization, competition in foreign markets is increasing, and it is becoming increasingly important for small businesses to engage in proper strategic planning and adapt financial processes to the new conditions. This article analyzes practical cases of small businesses that successfully adapted their financial strategies to the conditions of European integration and proposes ways to improve these strategies to ensure stability and development. The article applies a comprehensive approach, including the use of case methods to analyze real examples of businesses that successfully adapted their financial strategies under European integration conditions. A comparative analysis is also used to study the financial models of small businesses before and after integration with the European market. The research also involves economic-mathematical modeling to evaluate the effectiveness of different financial strategies and their impact on the long-term competitiveness of businesses. Special attention is paid to analyzing the financial statements of businesses that adapted to new conditions to identify key factors for successful adaptation. The study shows that the main factor for successful adaptation of financial strategies is increasing the flexibility of financial management, which allows businesses to effectively respond to changes in the economic environment and financial requirements of the European Union. Another important component is the optimization of tax strategies, which take into account European tax regimes, as well as the use of international financial instruments to attract investment and integrate into European financial markets. The research also highlighted the significance of digitalizing financial processes to improve cash flow control, reduce costs, and increase the efficiency of financial operations. Moreover, the case method revealed that successful businesses are actively working on improving organizational structures and enhancing the qualifications of management personnel, helping them adapt to changes in the European market. Further research in this field will focus on developing specific recommendations for small businesses on adapting to changes related to European integration. Promising areas include the more detailed development of tools for integrating financial strategies, taking into account new economic realities, as well as exploring opportunities for implementing financial technologies and innovations that will help optimize financial flows and strategic decision-making. A separate area of research will be the study of the specifics of adapting financial strategies in different sectors of the economy and regions of Ukraine, which will allow for more precise recommendations for businesses.
