THE IMPACT OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM ON THE NATIONAL SECURITY OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The scientific article establishes that education has a decisive influence on the state of national security. A country that has a high level of education of its citizens can provide appropriate conditions for an appropriate level of national security. At the same time, it should be noted that a high level of education is impossible without appropriate regulatory support, a clear system of educational restructuring and changes that need to be implemented in the modern rather dynamic world. The article substantiates that higher education in Ukraine requires immediate reforms and the application of new forms and methods. Analysis of the state of education shows that most higher education institutions still work according to Soviet methods, that they do not want to change. This approach is to some extent liked by the vast majority of applicants, students and teachers. The most in demand today in Ukraine are specialists in the fields of computer technology, engineering and cybernetics. They are needed for the faster creation of new types of protection and weapons, especially in conditions of aggression by the Russian Federation. However, last year the number of applicants for these specialties decreased It is justified that in order to increase interest in technical education, it is necessary to rebuild its entire system. It is necessary to create appropriate laboratories directly at enterprises and prepare students for the practical implementation of the knowledge gained. In addition, OSINT should play an important role as a system that makes it possible to use a large amount of information about technical progress obtained from open sources. Changes are also required and in the system of additional stimulation of students to master the relevant knowledge. This is primarily the learning of foreign languages. As the analysis shows, there are a lot of problems in the study of foreign languages, which, despite the attempts of the authorities, have not yet been resolved. The conclusions were made that the main directions for increasing the level of ensuring national security in the field of education should be relevant legislation, restructuring of higher educational institutions, developing an appropriate level of stimulation of education seekers and close ties with enterprises and institutions that should use future specialists.
