USING MULTIMEDIA TOOLS IN SPEECH THERAPY WORK WITH PRESCHOOLERS

Abstract

In preschool age, when the foundations of personal development are being laid, speech disorders can significantly limit the intellectual and social potential of children. The growth in the number of preschoolers with speech disorders necessitates the need to improve speech therapy techniques. Traditional approaches need to be supplemented with modern digital technologies that take into account the age characteristics, interests and individual needs of children, contributing to effective speech correction and increasing motivation for learning.The purpose of this article is to analyse the potential of using multimedia tools in speech therapy work with preschoolers, to determine their impact on the development of speech competencies, and to outline the prospects for integrating such technologies into correctional and developmental practice.The study is based on an analysis of scientific literature devoted to the integration of information and communication technologies into speech therapy, as well as a summary of practical experience in the use of multimedia tools in preschool education. Methods of systematization and classification were used to identify categories of computer technologies suitable for speech therapy work, as well as to analyze the pedagogical conditions for their effective implementation.The article systematizes the categories of multimedia technologies (diagnostic programs, correctional and developmental applications, interactive platforms, infographics) for speech therapy work with preschoolers. Pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of their use are determined, in particular, by the adaptation of content to individual needs, a balance with traditional methods, and the professional training of teachers. The role of infographics as a visualization tool that promotes the development of creative thinking is outlined.The use of multimedia tools in speech therapy practice significantly enhances the effectiveness of corrective and developmental work, contributing to the activation of children’s speech and cognitive development. Digital technologies, in particular, interactive platforms, multimedia presentations, and visual tools, allow for individualized learning and create a motivational game context.
