DIGITAL EDUCATIONAL TOOLS TO SUPPORT ACADEMIC MOBILITY IN MODERN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The article examines the role of digital educational tools in supporting academic mobility in modern higher education institutions. The aim of the study is to examine the role and potential of digital educational tools in supporting academic mobility in modern higher education institutions and to analyze their impact on the formation of a new model of educational interaction in the context of digital transformation. The relevance of the problem in the context of globalization processes, martial law, and European integration trends is emphasized. The methodological basis consists of analysis, synthesis, generalization, and comparison of contemporary scientific approaches to the concepts of “digital educational technologies”, “digital educational tools”, and “academic mobility”. Digital educational tools that support various aspects of mobility have been systematized: exchange program management (Erasmus Dashboard, Mobility Tool+, MoveON), learning organization (Moodle, Microsoft Teams, Zoom), team collaboration (Padlet, Miro), and digital certification of results (Open Badges, Europass, Credly). The scientific novelty lies in defining digital educational tools as a strategic resource for the development of academic mobility and the internationalization of education. It has been proven that the effective integration of these tools contributes to the formation of a new culture of academic mobility, the development of digital competence among participants in the educational process, the strengthening of academic partnerships, and the enhancement of the competitiveness of universities at the international level. The experience of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, which implements digital solutions in international academic mobility programs, in particular within the StuttWay4Ukraine project in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart (Germany), is outlined. This confirms the practical potential of digital educational tools in ensuring the continuity of the educational process and the development of digital competence among participants in the educational process. The conclusions state that digital educational tools optimize academic mobility management and ensure openness, inclusiveness, and personalization of learning. They are becoming a key factor in the modernization of higher education in Ukraine and are shaping a new generation of specialists – mobile, competent, and ready to operate in the digital economy.
