Introduction. Tooth wear is the loss of tooth structure due to mechanical and chemical factors, i.e. the interaction between teeth, acids and foreign objects. The wear and tear of teeth is an inevitable consequence of their evolutionary purpose–obtaining food by predation, grasping, grasping, grinding, chewing, and swallowing. Tooth wear is considered pathological only when the degree of tooth wear is disproportionate to the person's age, causing pain or impairment of function, aesthetics or quality of life. Goal. Based on the analysis of literary sources, to evaluate the current state of the problem of wear of hard dental tissues in dental patients with diagnosed gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Materials and methods. Information search and analysis of scientific sources was carried out using scientometric databases Web of Science, PubMed, Google Scholar over the last 10 years. Conclusion. The analysis of literature sources showed a high level of wear of hard dental tissues in patients with GERD. The dentist's ability to detect tooth hard tissue loss in GERD at an early stage is critical for implementing preventive measures and early treatment, preventing further extensive restorations that are expensive for the patient and difficult for the dentist.
