THE PHENOMENON OF THE HEGEMONIC STATUS OF THE USA IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Abstract

The article analyzes the latest research and publications related to the chosen topic and considers the nature of the current dominant position of the United States of America in international relations. The content of the category "hegemony" was analyzed. It has been proven that hegemony in international relations involves the ability of an individual actor to impose its own rules and conditions on the rest of the participants in the economic, political, military, diplomatic, cultural and other spheres. The multidimensional nature of the influence of the United States on the world is considered. The indisputability of the leading positions of the United States of America in such areas as: military, political, economic and social is substantiated. The relevance of the chosen topic is due to the practical need for a scientific understanding of the processes that take place at the international level for further forecasting the development of the vector of international socio-political relations. In this sense, the phenomenon of the hegemony of the United States of America, as a state that is the world's global leader, deserves special attention. At the same time, the realities of today testify to rapid changes in the modern world, which in turn attract the attention of the scientific academic and political community and cause discussions about the nature and prospects of American hegemony. Therefore, a new look at the problem of leadership from the point of view of establishing current trends in the development of interstate relations needs more attention. The purpose of the article is to study the phenomenon of the hegemonic status of the United States of America in international relations. The task of the research is the study of hegemony in modern international relations and the nature of the current dominant position of the United States of America in the modern world. The object of research is the activity of the United States of America in the international arena, the subject of research is the content, formation and implementation of the phenomenon of hegemony in international relations. The methodological basis of the research has an interdisciplinary character, which is expressed in the combination of a number of approaches and methods of the theory of international relations, political science and history. The methodological basis at the theoretical and practical level provides a comprehensive study of the phenomenon of hegemony in international relations.
