КОСОВСЬКИЙ ПРЕЦЕДЕНТ ТА ЙОГО ВПЛИВ НА СУЧАСНІ МІЖНАРОДНІ ВІДНОСИНИ

Abstract

The issue of the Albano-Serbian contradictions is extremely urgent, as they still remain unresolved in the form acceptable for all participants of the conflict. Since this territory has been conquered by the Ottoman Empire, large groups of the Muslim Albanians who in 1998 underwent oppressions from
the Serbian authorities and stole on the way of armed struggle for the independence began to lodge here. Together with their resettlement, the Islamic factor sharply became more active both in Kosovo and in the neighboring regions of the Balkans. Sharp growth of radical Islam in Kosovo became the real problem for Europe as the Balkans turned into a peculiar base for its penetration. However Albanians and Serbians are not the
only participants of the Kosovan tragedy. Washington which seeks to finally fix Southern Europe in the sphere of the influence still remains the main player in the Region. Russia flatly refused to recognize independence of Kosovo. At the same time, justifying the actions for occupation of the Crimea, the
Russian Federation repeatedly referred to example of Kosovo. For Russia the echo of the Kosovan precedent is an opportunity to take Donbass under control. So, however no matter how severely the USA and Russia accused each other of the policy of double standards, this duality is applied in Western
as well as in Russian foreign policy discourses and is explained by sharp geopolitical rivalry, inquiries of domestic policy and private interests.
