Abstract

The article examines the need to develop critical thinking in higher education students. The analysis of the scientific and pedagogical literature has revealed that critical thinking is the subject of research by both domestic and foreign scholars and teachers. Particular attention is focused on the importance of the concept of forming critical thinking of a personality, which has been recognized worldwide and is being implemented at all levels of education. It is noted that digital technologies are rapidly changing society and labor markets, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking to analyze, evaluate and respond to new challenges; transforming modern society by changing the way we communicate, work and learn. In such conditions, critical thinking becomes extremely important for effective adaptation and success in various spheres of life. The purpose of the study: to determine the ways and features of the implementation of technologies for the development of critical thinking of higher education students in the context of digitalization. The research methodology is based on the analytical method through the analysis of scientific literature on the research problem. The scientific novelty of the study is to determine the importance of developing critical thinking among higher education students in the context of digitalization. Conclusions of the study. The development of critical thinking contributes to the formation of the ability to scientific research, which is an important area in the activities of the future specialist, his competitiveness in the market of educational services. The use of technology poses new challenges in education and plays an important role in shaping the skills of the 21st century. Over time, the learning model should be modified to adapt to the digitalization of the 21st century. The results of the study provide grounds for recommendations for improving curricula, teaching methods and organization of the educational process to ensure the effective development of critical thinking in students.
