PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE OF THE MANAGER

The goal of the work. Investigate the psychological features of the manager’s profile with the opportunity to study the primary requirements for the head of the organization, such as: the ability to plan and organize the activity process, motivate subordinates, as well as exercise control over the activity and its final results. Methodology. General scientific methods of research were used, in particular, on the basis of the comparative-comparative method, an analysis of the concepts of the psychological profile of the manager in modern directions of social psychology was carried out. It was found that the concept of “psychological profile of a manager” implies certain psychological skills that a manager should possess. First of all, it is the ability to create a strong, cohesive and friendly team, taking into account that all employees have different axiological views, temperament, professional training and experience, and it is especially worth considering the gender-age aspect. Scientific novelty. It is substantiated that the psychological profile of the manager is based on two components: the physical component of activity is combined with the mental component of activity for successful team management. However, a manager is not only a position that involves management and control of an enterprise or organization and its staff – it is a certain pattern of behavioral components, lifestyle, psychology (skills) of a manager. Also, it was found that the psychological profile of an effective leader cannot be considered only from the standpoint of one approach, because the personality of the leader has certain personal and psychological characteristics, organizational gifts and talents, charisma, management style, professional competence, skills and abilities, etc. Conclusions. The described five-line structure of the leader’s personality has the right to exist. The structure can accommodate all the above dimensions in certain scales, that is, one manager will be dominated by extroversion and friendliness, and another by conscientiousness and openness, and all managers can have a level of neuroticism, since managerial positions are always associated with a certain level of anxiety, distress, given the economic and other problems of society.
