Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the article is to study the role of the Security Service of Ukraine in ensuring security and transparency in the work of state authorities. To achieve the specified goal, the following tasks were set before the research: – to analyze the role of the security service of Ukraine in the system of security agencies of Ukraine; – to investigate the mechanisms of the influence of the Security Service of Ukraine on monitoring compliance with transparency in the work of public administration bodies; to investigate the mechanisms of influence on ensuring safety in the work of state authorities. Methodology. During the research, general scientific research methods were used, including analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction. Scientific novelty. The main function of the entire state-authority mechanism is to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. From a functional point of view, a large share of all state authorities, in one way or another, take part in providing such a function. The article examines the mechanisms of participation of state authorities in ensuring not only territorial integrity, but also the security of the public administration itself. The issue of ensuring not only external security, but also internal security remains crucial. It is internal security that makes it possible for all state bodies to function normally. The article examines the process of transformation of the outdated security system in the state, as well as the reasons for such activity. In order for state authorities to be able to safely and transparently perform the functions assigned to them, additional measures are being created to control their activities. The study draws attention to the importance of operational and effective management decisions to prevent violations of the state administration system in the conditions of martial law. The leading body in the state security system is the Security Service of Ukraine. The article examines the role of the Security Service of Ukraine in ensuring security and transparency in the work of state authorities. There are still many shortcomings in the system of ensuring transparency in the activities of state authorities. The article offers a number of actual reasons for the ineffective interaction of the Security Service of Ukraine with state authorities in ensuring their security and transparent activities. The article examines the issue of ensuring transparency by state authorities during the performance of the tasks assigned to them. The work of the Security Service of Ukraine on monitoring the transparent activities of state authorities has a lot in common with ensuring security in their activities. The article examines what the difference between the specified categories is, and how it affects ensuring the normal operation of the entire stateauthority mechanism. Attention is drawn to the importance of ensuring security in the state, which affects the entire state system, including the work of public administration bodies. Conclusions. To date, the issue of ensuring security in the activities of state authorities remains extremely relevant for Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine remains one of the key bodies in the state administration system in this vector of activity.
