EVOLUTION OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS CONCEPTS OF THE ENTERPRISE

The article highlights the evolution of development of the business model of enterprise and identifies the reasons that justify the need to transform business models in modern conditions. In particular, it describes the evolution of the essence of the term "business model" in view of the main periods of development of the theory of strategic management. The paper systemises approaches of different scholars to the definition of the term "business model" through the prism of internal and external competitive advantages. The research analyses the components of a business model, in particular, the strategic model; resource model; network model; customer model; market supply model; revenue model; production model; procurement model; and financial model. The publication identifies the factors that justify the need to transform business models in the current environment, including such factors as martial law, digitalisation of the economy, development of networks, common economic platforms, decentralisation and blockchain technologies, interaction with customers in social networks, development of the Internet of Things (IoT), network effect, new business models in the service sector, etc.
