FINNPARTNERSHIP PROGRAM GRANTS TO SUPPORT FINANCIAL-UKRAINIAN LONG-TERM BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS

The article examines the grant possibilities of the Finnpartnership Business Partnership Program (Finnish Business Partnership Program), which is implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland. It has been demonstrated that Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have the opportunity, similarly to those located in countries that belong to the list of so-called "extremely unstable", to receive a financial benefit from starting a joint business project, for which the Finnpartnership Program can allocate a grant in the amount of 400,000 euros for measures to establish business cooperation with Finland. Emphasized: the funds provided by Finnpartnership should be used for the implementation of measures for the planning stage of Finnish-Ukrainian business projects and the development of existing business operations. The article demonstrates that a support grant can be provided to a Finnish-Ukrainian consortium for activities aimed at market development and the purpose of which is one of the following: long-term business partnership (the most common type of project); technical and economic plan of the investment project; auxiliary functions. The article emphasizes that business partnership support covers the costs of the research, piloting and training phases of business projects aimed at developing countries, including Ukraine. The research noted: the amount of grant funding of the Finnpartnership Program ranges from 15,000 to 400,000 euros. Please note: a project may consist of several project applications, in which case each project application will receive a minimum of €15,000, however, the total amount provided for a project consisting of more than one project application must not exceed €400,000. The project type "Feasibility study of an investment project" has an exceptional upper limit of support – 150,000 euros. Reasonable: cooperation initiatives must be planned in such a way as to have a significant socio-economic impact on development in Ukraine, such as job creation. Summarized: in the medium-term perspective, the country can experience not only economic, but also social and environmental effects from the implementation of projects financed by Finnish grants, and in the long-term – Finnish-Ukrainian projects supported by the Finnpartnership Program should contribute to the establishment of a long-term business partnership or cooperation with an international organization.
