STRATEGIC PRIORITIES FOR UKRAINE’S ECONOMIC RECOVERY IN THE FACE OF GLOBAL CHALLENGES

The purpose of the article is to study the main aspects and substantiate the strategic priorities for the recovery of the national economy, taking into account the problems and challenges facing Ukraine in the context of ensuring stable economic development. The relevance of the research topic is stipulated by the challenges faced by the state authorities and international institutions for a successful recovery, which may be accompanied by the risks of non-return of refugees, poorly coordinated foreign aid, unresolved security issues and further populist policies. To analyse the socio-economic situation and substantiate the principles of economic recovery in the context of justifying strategic development priorities, the following research methods were used, in particular: the method of structural and logical analysis, the method of theoretical generalisation and the statistical method to determine the consequences of the impact of negative factors on the domestic economy and the nature of future changes. It is established that the domestic economy suffered significant losses due to military aggression, but in 2023 it demonstrated significant potential for recovery and further development. It is emphasized that in order to form a stable macroeconomic environment and ensure the recovery of the national economy, it is necessary to establish optimal macroeconomic benchmarks and minimize possible risks, which will maintain stability in the economy, promote production growth and accelerate the processes of socio-economic development of the country. The author substantiates the principles of economic recovery in the context of focusing on strategic development priorities, including strengthening public finances, conducting a prudent monetary and fair regulatory policy, and adapting the labour market to the challenges of today. The aspects of their implementation are revealed to substantiate the strategic priorities of economic recovery. The practical value of the proposed principles is to form the basis for further research and discussion in the context of shaping the future macroeconomic architecture of the national economy.
