REGARDING THE FEATURES OF THE EXPERT RESEARCH DATABASES AND DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AS OBJECTS OF COPYRIGHT

Abstract

Expert research provides that research conducted by an expert is carried out on the basis of current legislation and on the basis of special knowledge, material objects, phenomena and processes that contain information about the circumstances of the case. Also, specialized expert institutions of Ukraine carry out methodical support for the study of software products as a means of committing computer crimes. The article describes the peculiarities of the study of databases and database management systems. The main features of research objects as objects of copyright are considered. The topic of the conducted research works in the field of research of copyright objects and is aimed at increasing the efficiency of scientific research in the field of information technologies. The generalizations and conclusions provided based on the results of the research contribute to the conduct of objective and scientifically based research in the direction of «Information control systems and special purpose technologies» for their maximum use in expert practice during forensic examinations (expert studies) regardless of the type of judicial proceedings. Prospects for further research regarding the development of the methodology for conducting forensic examinations (expert studies) on issues related to databases and database management systems as objects of copyright are outlined. The topic of the conducted research refers to and is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of scientific research in the field of information technology and intellectual property. It is recommended for use when conducting complex expert research (expert specialty 10.9 «Research of computer equipment and software products», 13.1.2 «Research related to computer programs and data compilations (databases)».
