ECONOMIC DICTATORSHIP IN POST-WAR RECOVERY – WARNINGS AND RISKS

Abstract

The fundamental purpose of the article is an attempt to extrapolate the main reasons for the miscalculations of pre-war planning in the management of the country's economic processes, the consistent implementation of which would reconstruct the old model and provide dynamic development for the newly created one. The author emphasizes that in 2015 the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the country's leading scientific institutions foresaw the assessment of socio-economic losses and priority areas of state policy in the strategy of post-war revival of certain regions. Productive and promising scientific researches of scientific institutions of Ukraine on the vector determination of support and development of the national economy are pointed out. The author analyzes the experience of economic recovery and development of European countries, as well as Japan and South Korea in the postwar period and identifies the main factors that contributed to their economic success. Using the experience of recovery as an example, the basic democratic geopolitical expediency of the model of economic reconstruction of the country is shown and the consequences of authoritarian management / economic management in the postwar period, positive and not so positive, are highlighted, and the consequences of the implementation of the developed strategy are shown. It is pointed out that the success of Ukraine's post-war reconstruction is possible only if the state's economic policy measures are implemented in line with a clear and consistent strategy aimed at deregulating the economy and creating a favorable investment climate.
