The article is devoted to the study of the structural and functional component of combating crime in the field of land protection. The relevance of the study is due to the special importance of land resources for the ecological, food and economic security of Ukraine, as well as the prevalence of criminal encroachments associated with the violation of the established procedure for the use and protection of land. The purpose of the article is to reveal the content of the structural and functional component of combating crime in the field of land protection, to determine its main elements and to substantiate the nature of the relationships between them. The need to consider combating crime in the field of land protection as a systemic activity, which involves the coordinated functioning of its structural elements, is substantiated. It is determined that the structural and functional component covers levels, objects, subjects and integrative relations of the counteraction. The global, national, regional, local and sectoral levels are distinguished, the interaction of which ensures the combination of general strategic guidelines with specific conditions for the spread of crime in the field of land protection. The content of the objects of counteraction is revealed, which include managerial, economic, socio-behavioral, territorial-ecological and corruption factors. The system of specialized and non-specialized subjects of counteraction is characterized and the significance of their functional differentiation is determined. It is substantiated that the systematic nature of the relevant activity is ensured primarily by integrative connections between its subjects, goals, tasks and functions. The special place of the Specialized Environmental Prosecutor's Office in ensuring the coordination of the activities of the relevant subjects within the competence established by law is determined. The author's vision of the structural and functional construction of counteraction to crime in the field of land protection as an interconnected system is formed, the functioning of which must take into account the diversity of criminal manifestations, criminogenic factors and territorial and sectoral features of their distribution.
