SOCIALIST INTERNATIONAL IN THE SYSTEM OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS 2022: ACTIVITY ANALYSIS AND GEOPOLITICAL SIGNIFICANCE

The purpose of the research is to analyze the activities of the Socialist International (SI) in the difficult year 2022 for the world and our country. The Socialist International is one of the most authoritative international institutions, has a long history and influence on modern geopolitical processes, which can be useful for Ukraine. On the basis of the ideas of Socintern: freedom, justice and solidarity, the societies of post-war Europe were rebuilt. Social democracy of the European model has become one of the pillars of the prosperity of the countries of Western civilization. The novelty of the article is that the author for the first time in the domestic scientific environment studies the activities of a well-known international organization, whose influence and authority are worthy of imitation by many domestic public and political structures. The international scientific level of research into the activities of the Socialist International is not large enough. Nowadays, you can find a lot of journalistic and journalistic information about the International. At the same time, the scientific work mainly concerns the history of this organization. This scientific article clarifies the chronology of the meetings of the leading bodies of the International: councils, presidiums, committees, congresses, and reveals the basic content of the declarations, resolutions, and statements adopted by them. Socintern's activities are spread over all continents of the globe. The main emphasis is on the most problematic issues. For example, in 2022, Russia's war against Ukraine became the main issue. Important and acute crises in many countries of Africa and Latin America, the Caucasus and the Middle East, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus did not go unnoticed by the International. Special attention was paid to the activities of the leadership of the SI, first of all, General Secretary Luis Ayala and the leaders of the Social Democratic Party of Ukraine, Yury Buzdugan and Olena Skomoroschenko. XXVI Congress in November 2022 became important in the life of Socintern. There was a change of leadership, a number of important declarations were adopted, which require separate scientific research and analysis, as they carry a serious international geopolitical component due to the problems they concern. The conclusions noted that the International in 2022 fulfilled its functions in many aspects of activity. The Ukrainian question was and remains one of the key ones. There is hope that the Socialist International will continue to defend its basic principles no less actively and powerfully in the future.
