Scientific novelty. The significance of social media platforms as an integral tool of strategic communications in the field of national security is underscored. Social media enable rapid dissemination of information, enhance public involvement, and facilitate response to crisis situations. However, certain issues such as misinformation, lack of control, risks to privacy and the need to balance speed and accuracy need to be addressed.
