Abstract. The author researched the strategic planning of national security with an emphasis on its branch and regional aspects. An analysis of the challenges facing the country in the modern geopolitical and economic environment is made. The article is aimed at defining strategic approaches, contributing to the provision of stable and effective national security in the conditions of a rapidly changing world. The author analyzed industry vectors, such as military technologies, cyber security, energy, and regional features of strategic planning, particularly in coastal and inland regions. Issues of training military personnel and adaptation to new forms of threats, in particular cyber warfare and information operations, are highlighted. The definition of strategies that will contribute to the stability and security of the country in the conditions of global dynamics has been identified. Particular attention is paid to economic and social aspects, such as macroeconomic planning, social stability and provision of basic needs of citizens. The importance of cybersecurity in the context of digital transformation is discussed and the role of energy security in the strategic provision of stability and independence of the country is highlighted. The need for a regional approach to strategic planning, taking into account the specific conditions and challenges of different regions, has been clarified. The opportunities for increasing the flexibility of strategic planning are analyzed, taking into account the constant changes in the world landscape, technological sphere and international relations. It is noted that the strategic planning of national security requires constant updating, reforms and innovations to effectively face new challenges and threats. Therefore, the article aims at a detailed review and determination of strategic directions of national security, focusing on sectoral and regional aspects, and points to the need for constant analysis and adaptation of strategies to ensure stability and security in today's unpredictable world.
