ADAPTATION OF THE GLOBAL GOALS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT TO THE NATIONAL STRATEGY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SECURITY

Abstract

Abstract. The author examines the adaptation of the global goals of sustainable development to the national strategies of environmental security of Ukraine, defining it as an important task in order to ensure the effectiveness and priority of actions to preserve the environment and ensure sustainable development. This article provides a detailed analysis of this problem, taking into account the context of Ukrainian environmental policy, global trends in the field of sustainable development, and current challenges on a global scale. The connection between the global goals of sustainable development, which were determined by the United Nations, and the national priorities of Ukraine in the field of environmental security was studied. An analysis is made of which of these global goals are most consistent with national strategies, and possible ways of their integration in the context of Ukrainian conditions and needs are considered. Well-founded integrated strategies that combine the global goals of sustainable development with national priorities in the field of environmental security. The possibility of developing legislation, policies, programs and projects aimed at achieving these goals and ensuring sustainable development is analyzed. Involvement of stakeholders in the process of adaptation of global goals was revealed. The importance of the involvement of all stakeholders, such as government bodies, public organizations, business, academic institutions and civil society, for the effective implementation of strategies and the achievement of set goals is noted. The importance of monitoring and reporting on the achievement of global sustainable development goals is emphasized. The need for regular monitoring of progress and provision of transparent reporting to the national and international public is substantiated. It is noted that the monitoring and reporting system is a key tool for the successful implementation of global goals. In addition, the author considers the importance of supporting the technological and financial transition to achieve the global goals of sustainable development. It is noted that Ukraine may need support in the form of technology transfer, financial assistance and promotion of investments in environmentally friendly technologies and infrastructure. In general, the article analyzes in detail the problem of adapting the global goals of sustainable development to the national strategy of environmental security of Ukraine, offering specific ways of implementing and solving this problem. The results of the study can be useful for government structures, public organizations, research institutions and other interested parties working in the field of sustainable development and environmental protection.
