Abstract

The integration of cultural aspects into the process of teaching foreign languages is gaining increasing significance in modern educational practices. Globalization and intercultural interaction emphasize the need not only for mastering linguistic knowledge but also for understanding the cultural contexts in which this knowledge is applied. The purpose of this work is to conduct a comprehensive study on the integration of culture into the process of teaching and learning foreign languages. The modern communicative approach to language teaching asserts that culture is an integral part of language, and without its study, the educational process will be inaccurate and incomplete. This justifies the need to include cultural aspects in language teaching to ensure thorough language acquisition. Considering these principles, we decided to conduct a detailed review of literature and research to develop recommendations on this topic. The research methodology is based on the analysis of previous empirical studies and scholarly works that explore the integration of cultural aspects into the process of teaching and learning languages. Special attention is given to the opinions and experiences of both teachers and students, as well as classroom practices. We examine perceptions, expectations, and assessments of the effect of including cultural aspects in the language learning process, revealing general trends in this process. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the development of an original system of cultural learning outcomes. This system serves as a kind of guide for teachers who seek to integrate cultural elements into their lessons. It can be useful in formulating educational objectives and assessing how well students acquire the cultural component during language learning. The conclusions of the work emphasize the importance of integrating culture into the language learning process. The authors also offer recommendations for teachers to help assess the impact of cultural learning on student outcomes.
