The article defines the prospects of higher education internationally. There are many opportunities for universities in Europe and around the world namely for students in universities and teachers. National universities lack interaction with international universities. It has been established that the forms of interaction between Ukrainian universities and international universities include dual degrees, foreign language studies, participation in international programs and projects, as well as research activities in partnership with foreign universities. This includes general monographs, roundtables, conferences, seminars, lectures, bilateral publication of articles, work on a research project and cooperation with business. These are all present-day realities that need to be taken into account in order to be internationally competitive in the relevant indicators. It has been established that systematic participation in international programs and projects has a significant impact on the development of higher education. At present, such participation of Ukraine is not systematic and fragmented, which negatively affects the integration processes, competitiveness of national education and the image of national universities in the international arena.
