PECULIARITIES OF PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING OF CLIENTS ON RESOLVING CONFLICTS OF PROFESSIONAL SELF-DETERMINATION

This article is devoted to the topical issue of resolving conflicts of professional self-determination and the role of psychological counseling. It has been established that professional self-determination is a component of personal and life spheres of a person. Professional self-determination is considered as a process of determining a person's self in relation to the criteria of professionalism established in society (and accepted by this person). Thus, for one person, the criteria of professionalism will be only belonging to a certain profession or professional education. While others need an individual contribution to the development of their profession, constant self-determination and self-realization. The paper emphasizes the important role of personal traits in the formation of professional self-determination, as well as in resolving conflicts of self-determination. The importance of social activity, assertiveness, cooperation, organization and creativity in professional self-determination is emphasized. Psychological assistance is needed to overcome conflicts of professional self-determination. The role of coaching in psychological counseling and its features were defined. Thus, it is necessary to take into account the individual psychological characteristics of the client, his/her emotional state, and the idea of the professional self. Counselors should use active learning methods to help clients understand and accept their place in the professional world. An important aspect is also working with complexes and internal conflicts that may arise during professional self-identification. In general, psychological counseling in the field of professional self-determination requires sensitivity, attentiveness, and flexibility to provide maximum support to clients in the process of resolving their conflicts of professional self-determination.
