THE ECONOMY’S AGRICULTURE SECTOR’S INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY UNDER THE GLOBALIZATION THREATS AND CHALLENGES CONDITIONS

In the article, the approaches to determining the main vectors and trends of the economy’s agrarian sector development under the conditions of globalization changes have been further developed. The main problems of this sphere have been identified, the destructive effects of the war in Ukraine on the economy and the agricultural sector at the national and global levels have been investigated. An overview of global trends in the development of the agrarian sphere has been carried out, a diagnosis of price fluctuations for agricultural products and, in particular, the consumer price index has been carried out. The largest food producers, in particular wheat, in the world have been identified, and the Ukraine’s position in the global agri-food market has been revealed. It has been found out that agricultural products in particular grain production volume increased in the world during the last years. The leading producers of wheat are China, India, Russia, USA, France, Australia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Argentina, Canada, Germany, Turkey. Ukraine entered the TOP-10 world producers since 2014. Research of trends in changes in the share of gross value added in total value added across groups of countries and the world as a whole has been conducted, and the pattern has been confirmed, that the higher the general economic development of the country, the smaller the share of the agricultural sector in GDP. It is due to the development of other high-tech industries with high added value. New approaches have been developed to justify the economy’s agriculture sector’s innovative development strategy under the globalization threats and challenges conditions. This strategy has to formed according to the following vectors: geopolitical relations in the world aggravation; unpredictable climate changes; environmental trends strengthening; comprehensive digitization; growing role of global logistics; energy problem solution. Implementation of the developed strategic approach will minimize the negative impact of these destructors in the future.
