The article analyzes the transformation of the modern media space in the context of full-scale war and justifies the expediency of considering journalism as a component of the socionomic sphere, focused on interaction with individuals and socially vulnerable groups. Particular attention is paid to the functioning of the media in the context of social support for internally displaced persons, coordination of assistance, and representation of the psychosocial needs of the population in conditions of military challenges. The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical understanding of journalism as a socionomic practice in the contemporary media space and to analyze the specifics of its interaction with social work in wartime. The methodological basis of the study is the analysis of media texts using an interpretative approach, which allows us to consider journalistic and public communications not only as information products, but also as forms of social interaction, mediation, and support. The work also uses elements of discourse analysis to identify social meanings and narratives related to the experience of war and forced displacement. The empirical basis of the study consists of public media texts from Ukrainian and international institutions, materials from civil society organizations, and examples of information communication regarding psychological, social, and legal assistance to internally displaced persons. The normative framework of the analysis is supplemented by the provisions of current Ukrainian legislation in the field of media and social services, which allows for a comparison of media communication practices with the requirements of social responsibility and ethical standards. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the application of a socionic approach to the analysis of wartime journalism and in the justification of the media as a space for social interaction, combining the functions of information, social mediation, and psychosocial support. It has been proven that in wartime, journalism increasingly performs functions similar to social work practices, in particular through the representation of the experiences of vulnerable groups, the dissemination of information about assistance resources, and the formation of narratives of solidarity. The conclusions emphasize that the transformation of the media space in wartime necessitates a rethinking of the professional role of journalists and highlights the need for interprofessional interaction between the media, social services, and public institutions. Prospects for further research are related to the analysis of genre models of socially oriented journalism and the study of the effectiveness of media communication in the processes of social adaptation of internally displaced persons and war-affected population groups.
