EUROPEAN EXPERIENCE OF MANAGEMENT IN THE SPHERE OF NATIONAL SECURITY: THE CASE OF POLAND

Abstract

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the Polish experience in managing national security and protecting state interests. The author analyzes key aspects of the organization of the national security system in Poland, strategic planning and implementation of innovative approaches in the field of security. The article highlights the contemporary challenges faced by Poland in the context of European security policy and the geopolitical environment. Through the prism of the Polish experience, the author examines effective strategies and practical approaches to ensuring security that can be used in other countries as well. This article is an important additional resource for researchers, national and international security experts, and policymakers interested in the development of national security management strategies in today’s geopolitical environment. The purpose of the article is to research and analyze the European management experience in the field of national security, focusing on the experience of Poland. The scientific novelty of this article lies in the systematic analysis and generalization of the European experience of managing national security, with a focus on the experience of Poland. The article examines in detail the institutional aspects of the national security system, strategic planning and implementation of measures in this area. The author conducts an analysis of the effectiveness of Polish approaches to national security management, and also highlights key challenges and trends affecting this area. Such a comprehensive approach makes it possible to identify new opportunities and ways of further development of national security management for the Ukrainian experience. Materials and methods: analysis of theoretical sources, comparison, induction of isolated data. The main conclusions are as follows: an important component of the system is the role of voivodes and poviats in ensuring security at the local level. They are responsible for the coordination and control of activities at the local level, as well as for responding to emergency situations. The Polish government recognizes national security as a top priority, excluding it from the political struggle. This indicates a serious attitude towards the protection of the country in the conditions of a difficult international situation. Therefore, the national security system in Poland is comprehensive and well-structured, aimed at effective protection of the country from various threats, including both traditional and cyber.
