Multimedia technologies contribute to the transition of students from traditional passive learning to an active state for independent training. Multimedia materials can include real utterances and conversations of native speakers, allowing students to gain a better acknowledgment of the real language context. This continues to develop skills in understanding and interpreting authentic language. Thanks to the development of technologies, multimedia has become widespread and available even in an online format. It allows students to learn the language independently using online resources, video conferencing and mobile applications. Multimedia resources often generate many words and expressions that can be indispensable for expanding vocabulary of students. The use of multimedia technologies is an element of modern language learning. Such technologies allow students to hear the correct pronunciation of words and phrases, which is a place for the development of language skills. They can listen to native speakers and try to imitate their pronunciation. A significant advantage of using multimedia technologies is that they are suitable for different language areas and levels of study. Whether a student is studying general English, specialized medical English, French, Chinese, or any other language, multimedia resources can be an appropriate addition to learning. They give students an opportunity to improve their language skills, make learning more interesting and natural. It also provides an opportunity to create an engaging and effective learning process, improving comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary, and speaking and writing skills. However, the successful use of multimedia technologies requires long-term planning and integration into the educational process. However, it is important to get the point that academic success depends on the student’s planning, motivation and systematicity.
