ANTI-SMUGGLING AND CORRUPTION DURING CUSTOMS CLEARANCE OF GOODS AS A MECHANISM OF FORMING NATIONAL SECURITY

Abstract

The author has researched that, to date, in our country, state mechanisms for combating smuggling and corruption during customs clearance of goods are important for ensuring the effective functioning of the customs system. These mechanisms should include elements such as public administration, civil service and anti-corruption mechanisms. It is emphasized that the establishment of strict criteria for hiring customs authorities and raising the level of their pay. This can help attract professionals who adhere to the principles of transparency and honesty to the customs service and reduce the risk of corruption. Using the latest technologies in customs operations, such as facial and fingerprint recognition systems, to reduce the possibility of document falsification and counterfeit goods. It was found that increasing the level of legal literacy of citizens and including them in the customs process, for example, through customs brokerage services, which allows to reduce the risk of smuggling and corruption. It was determined that all these measures are aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of the customs system and increasing the level of combating smuggling and corruption. It is important that state mechanisms for combating smuggling and corruption are effective and constantly improved depending on the needs and challenges of today.
